The North Carolina Aquarium
The North Carolina Aquarium is located on Roanoke Island in the North Carolina Outer Banks, on Airport Road in Manteo NC. The aquarium features the largest collection of sharks in North Carolina in a 280,000 gallon tank.

Wright Brothers National Memorial
The Wright Brothers National Memorial, in Kill Devil Hills NC, is the site of the first controlled powerd flight, in 1903. Wilbur and Orville Wright came to the North Carolina Outer Banks from Dayton OH, based on the location’s steady winds. Their short, 12 second, 120’ flight changed avation history forever.
