The North Carolina Outer Banks has unusual weather patterns due to it’s extreme eastern geographical location, jutting out into the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean’s Gulf Stream. The Outer Banks experiences many of the Atlantic hurricanes during hurricane season, which runs May 15th through November 30th.
